418,056. Refrigerating. BALDWINSOUTHWARK CORPORATION, Philadelphia, U.S.A. Dec. 23, 1933, No. 36255. Convention date, Dec. 24, 1932. [Class 29.] Compression machines.-A room cooling unit comprises a refrigerant evaporator 4 over which room air is circulated by a fan, and a refrigerant condenser 5 which is cooled by air drawn from the outside by a fan through a duct passing out through an adjacent opening in the room wall, this air being expelled again to the outside through another duct. Air entering from the outside passes downwards over the compresser 6 and the lubricating oil radiator 30 before it reaches the condenser 5. Moisture dropping off the evaporator 4 is caught in a trough 36 from which it passes to a trough 60<i> from which it is carried to the outer air by the condenser airflow. The compressor motor cannot be supplied with current if the switch for starting the air circulating fan motors is not closed.
