Abstract
415,544. Tins &c. ROBINSON, F. G., Canister Works, Southcoates Lane, Hull. May 24, 1933, No. 14930. Addition to 398,336. [Class 66.] A disc, plate, tablet or other device for indicating the colour or other particulars of the contents of a tin &c., is retained within a stamped depression or sinking formed in the sheet metal body or other part of the tin, or in a sheet metal holder secured thereto, by means of an apertured frame or plate spot-welded or otherwise fixed to the part in which the depression is formed. Fig. 1 shows a construction in which a flanged indicating device 3 engages frictionally with the inturned edges of the frame 4 ; the flanges of the frame and indicating device might, however, be disposed in the reverse directions to those shown. In Fig. 3, the indicating device, which is of disc form and slightly larger than the aperture in the frame, is either sprung into place beneath the inner edge of the inwardly-projecting flange of the frame or is made of concave or convex form so that it can be passed through the frame aperture and then flattened.
