Abstract
415,516. Knitting-machines. BERRIDGE & CO., I. L., KILBOURN, S. L., and MARTIN, C. S., Sanvey Gate, Leicester. April 4, 1933, No. 10124. [Class 74 (ii).] The cam-box 12 of a flat frame machine is mounted upon a flexible cable 23 or like operatively connected to a continuously driven endless chain 15 by a crank arm 16 which is pivotally connected to the chain and to a member 19 carried by the cable 23. The cable 23 and chain 15 may move in parallel planes transverse to the plane of the needle bed. The bridle member 19 may be arranged upon the cable 23 as shown, or alternatively re-entrant bights may be provided in the cable and the members 19 arranged within the two bights so that a chain of one half the length of chain 15 can be used.
