Abstract

<PICT:0414521/III/1> An apparatus for extracting raw materials with a solvent, consists of an annular extraction chamber formed between two stationary concentric cylinders a, b having circular annular end plates, within which rotates a circular member f carrying sieve members g which thus forms a number of compartments with the stationary casing. Raw material containing fat is fed through a shaft h and is carried downwards through a stream of benzine admitted through an inlet i. The extract passes through oblique holes l into a chamber o from which it is drawn off through an upwardly inclined pipe p. The holes l are covered by a sieve m and a perforated sheet k. The extracted material is removed through a shaft n. The flow of solvent and time of extraction is controlled by providing the pipe p with a number of outflow points of different heights.
