[Class 27.] Peanuts or like goods stored in a glass container 1, Fig. 1, are delivered by rocking a disc 6, Fig. 3, located between the bottom of the container and a plate 12, Fig. 4, provided with a delivery shoot 13, the disc 6 having a pocket or hopper 5 which measures the quantity of goods. The travel of the disc 6 is such that there is no effective continuity of path through the pocket 5 from the container 1 to the delivery opening. The container 1 is secured to a base 2 by a tube 1C and a wing-nut, a lid 1A being secured on the container by a tension wire 1B passing through the tube 1C and receiving a wing-nut. In the initial position of the disc 6, goods pass into the pocket 5 through an opening 4, Fig. 2, in the top 3 of the base 2, the disc being then rocked, after insertion of a coin, by depressing a lever 8 connected to the disc 6 by a link 6A. This brings the pocket 5 over the discharge shoot 13, the goods falling to a disc 17 or to cardboard dishes placed thereon. When the lever 8 is released, a spring returns it and the disc 6 to their initial positions. Coin action, mechanical-connection.-A coin inserted through a slot 10A enters a slotted lug 10 on the disc 6. When the handle 8 is depressed, the coin travels along a track 11, circumferentially arranged on the plate 12, and engages a pawl 16 the nose 16A of which is held by a spring 15A projecting into the track 11. The coin depresses the pawl out of the path of a stop on the lug 10, so that the disc can be rocked the full distance to bring the pocket 5 over the discharge opening 13.
