413,329. Straining tennis nets. GARDINER, Ltd., T. M., and LOVEJOY, N. E., Burford Works, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. Jan. 13, 1933, No. 1224. [Class 45.] A tennis net or the like 14 is secured to a post 6 which is pivotally mounted on a rail 7 on a base plate 3 and is connected by a cable to a second and shorter post 1 adjustably secured to the base plate. The post 1 is provided with a pulley and winding device for the cable so that by winding the cable the post 6 is rocked to tension the net. The post 6 is prevented from slipping under strain by means of a pin 9.
