[Class 27.] Coin-freed article-delivery apparatus of the kind wherein the articles are received from a pile in cells in an intermittently rotated delivery disc which is coupled to an operating element by an inserted coin and wherein each intermittent movement of the disc causes one of its cells to be emptied while another is being filled is characterized in that the delivery disc 7 is arranged between stationary plates 6, 6<1>, the plate 61 having a delivery aperture, and that the disc is operated by a spring controlled lever 8 pivotally supported under the plate 6<1>. The articles, e.g. tokens M, are stored in a split tube 5 and fall one by one into recesses in the disc 7, these recesses passing in succession into a position K beneath the pile. At each operation of the lever 8 the disc is rotated clockwise one step to bring the tokens to the position D corresponding to the delivery aperture in the plate 6<1>. The tokens are held secure in the tube 5 by a weight G provided with a lug 18 and spring 19 engaging respectively ratchet teeth 21 and notches 22 on the wall of the tube. A tube 5<1> may be provided in the position J for supplying tokens when the tube 5 has been emptied. An inspection window 9 at E enables the operator to see the token which will be delivered at the next operation of the apparatus. Coin-action, mechanical-connection ; coindischarging mechanism.-An inserted coin falling down a shoot 11 into the forked end 8<1> of the lever 8 engages behind a shoulder 22 on the disc 7 and on operation of the lever, the coin is moved along a channel 16 and rotates the disc until it is discharged through an aperture 26 by a spring 14. Coin-slit closing-devices.-A guard 12 carried by a spring 13 prevents coins being fed into the channel 16 when the end 8<1> of the lever 8 is not beneath the shoot 11. Fraud preventing.-A tooth turned up from the bottom of the channel 16 prevents a coin being returned along the channel. Casings.-The casing 4 is supported on a plate 2 and is provided with a cover 27 which is secured by a post 28, fixed to the base 1, engaging a socket 30 on the cover, the post having a screw-threaded bore 29 engaging with a screw 33 provided with a head 34 supported on a shoulder 35 on the socket.
