410,608. Straightening sheets. PRESSED STEEL CO. OF GREAT BRITAIN, Ltd., Cowley, Oxford, and FERN BERG, E. B., 11, The Drive, Edgware, Middle sex. April 28, 1933, No. 12383. [Class 83 (iv).] In a sheet-straightening machine with feed rolls d, e and staggered straightening rolls a, b, means are provided for effecting a preliminary bend to eliminate stretcher strains during working. A series of rollers 16 are mounted on roller &c. bearing on a slide 11 reciprocated in known manner and co-operate with a similar series of stationary rolls 16 to effect the bend A. The work is guided by a member 17. The rollers 16 are cambered and are mounted close together to present substantially continuous cylindrical peripheries. Specifications 240,256, 252,738, [both in Class 83 (iv)], and 342,599 are referred to.
