Abstract

410,485. Printing-surfaces. BECKMANN, H., 26, Albertinenstrasse, Zehlendorf, Berlin. Nov. 15, 1932, No. 32281. [Class 100 (ii).] Printing-surfaces are prepared from vulcanized rubber having microscopic pores. The surfaces may be in the form of blocks, letters, plates, bands, or rollers and may have the design moulded therein during vulcanization, etched by hydrofluoric acid, or prepared by cutting, stamping, or punching. A surface having a design impressed thereon may be restored to its original smooth form by dipping in hot water or heating in a steam jet. The rubber may be prepared by the processes described in Specifications 240,430, 257,561, and 262,179, [all in Class 70].
