409,665. Folding boxes. HUNT, R., Paper Box & Printing Works, Theydon Road, Clapton, London. Oct. 31, 1932, Nos. 30571 and 31674. [Class 18.] In a folding cardboard or like box or carton having the end or side walls 1, 2 diagonally creased for folding on to the base and extensions 9 on the front and back walls 5, 6 which lie adjacent the end or side walls when the the box is erected, slots or slits a are provided in the base 4 adjacent the boundary thereof so that when the box is erected part of the bottom edges of the extensions 9 are received in the slots or slits and retain the walls in the erect condition. As shown the bottom edges of the extensions 9 are formed with projections d<1> to engage the slot or slits and additional slots or slits a<1> are provided to receive the edges or projections d<1> when the box is collapsed.
