[Class 122 (v).] Relates to hydraulic telescopic tube apparatus, applicable, for example, to fire escapes, and to tower ladders for use with overhead electric cables. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises fluid-tight packing for the tubes consisting of open rings 9 which break joint, formed with inverted V-section and grooved beneath the apex, composed of rubbered hemp impregnated with a graphite mixture. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
