Abstract

408,445. Wired wireless systems; impedance networks. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.- GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. March 24, 1933, No. 8999. Convention date, March 24, 1932. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v).] In a wired high-frequency signalling system, filter circuits of the four-element type comprising series inductances and shunt capacities are inserted in the power-line in order to protect the carrier currents from leakage losses at switching and similar points. They are inserted, for instance, at 14 and 15, Fig. 2, before and after the switching station 24, the signalling currents being diverted through a shunt circuit 28. Similar filters may be located at 13 and 17 before and after the HF signalling apparatus 22, 23 ; and at 16 to protect the sidechannel 20, 21. Fig. 5 shows a constructional form of low-pass filter, the carrier-currents being applied at 14. One line 1 of a threephase system 1, 2, 3 is formed into a loop 4 and four earthed metal segments 6, 7, 8, 9 are placed around'the main cable, the points of separation being provided with iron cores 11, 12, 13 of laminated plates to introduce series inductance.
