Abstract

408,238. Loud-speakers. SWIFT, LEVICK, & SONS, Ltd., and HORSBURGH, G. D. L., Clarence Steel Works, Sheffield. Sept. 29, 1932, No. 27108. [Class 40 (iv).] A magnet for loud-speakers &c. is made of portions of magnetic steels, i.e. sheets of high remanence and coercive force, having different properties so that by suitable choice of steel, magnets with different flux densities can be made of pieces of the same shape and size. The magnet shown consists of a piece 3, which may be of cobalt steel, a plate 6 which may be of chrome steel, and a pole-piece 9. The-pole piece 9 may be separated from the piece 3 by a washer 10, which may be of a different steel again. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 401,476.
