405,990. Ice-making. FLAKICE CORPORATION, 900, Market Street, Wilmington, Delaware, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Field, C. ; 213, 90th Street, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A.) Aug. 12, 1932, No. 22627. Convention date, Aug. 14, 1931. [Class 29.] The apparatus described in Specification 405,989 is modified for the formation on the flexible cylinder of spaced strips of ice of the section shown in Fig. 14. The cylinder is formed of ring sections and supported upon a drum 68 mounted upon a fixed shaft 22 containing a pipe 65 through which cold brine is supplied to the interior of the drum and having exhaust ports 72 for the used brine. The cold brine is sprayed on to the inside of the cylinder through rings of nozzles 71. Brine ice may be produced by supplying the tank 4 with brine and employing calcium chloride brine as the freezing liquid.
