[Class 140.] A wood preservative composition consists mainly or solely of water-soluble compounds of chromium, copper and arsenic. Suitable compounds are potassium bichromate, copper sulphate and arsenic pentoxide, and preferably the chromium content varies between 45 per cent and 90 per cent, the copper content between 8 per cent and 40 per cent, and the arsenic content between 8 per cent and 50 per cent of the total copper, arsenic and chromium present as elements. Specifications 2972/12, [Class 140, Waterproof &c. Fabrics], and 377,441 are referred to.
