Abstract
404,559. Hand hoes. JENSEN, A., and MIKKELSEN, J. J., Kjollerup, Denmark. July 24, 1933, No. 20795. [Class 6 (ii).] A push hoe comprises an arcuate plate and a handle connected in a central position to the convex side of said plate with its axis substantially in the same plane as, and at right-angles to, one of the straight cutting edges of the plate. The handle f is connected to the plate a by a plate e which may be adjustably or reversibly fixed thereto so that either edge b, c may be used as the cutting edge. The middle portion of the plate a preferably has a smaller radius of curvature than the two end portions. The radius of curvature may be varied by forming the plate e with a smaller radius of curvature than the plate a and clamping the latter more or less tightly to the former. The blade a may be rectangular or trapeziform in shape.
