Abstract

404,492. Moulding briquettes. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MAATSCHAPPIJ TOT EXPLOITATIE VAN TEN BOSCH OCTROOIEN N.V., 25, Isaac Evertslaam, Arnhem, Holland. March 13, 1933, No. 7642. Convention date, Dec. 24, 1932. [Class 87 (ii).] Coal dust or other normally non- coherent substances are compressed by means of one or more rams to form a coherent mass, the pressure then being relieved simultaneously from all surfaces of the compressed mass. The apparatus may comprise a member 1 with obliquely sliding members 2, 3 which, in the closed position form, with the member 1, a chamber 4. Axial plungers 5, 6, one of which uncovers a port for the supply of material from a hopper 8, Fig. 2, are actuated in timed relation with the members 2, 3, so that after compression of the mass, the members 2, 3 and plungers 5, 6 are all withdrawn simultaneously.
