Abstract

A compound of ethylhydrocupreine with hexamethylenetetramine and sulphosalicylic acid in the molecular proportions of 1 : 2 : 2 respectively is prepared by interaction of ethylhydrocupreine or ethylhydrocupreine salicylate or the components of the latter with hexamethylenetetramine sulphosalicylate or its components. The product possesses therapeutic properties. According to the examples, (1) ethylhydrocupreine sulphosalicylate is prepared from its components in alcohol solution and the double compound treated with sulphosalicylic acid and hexamethylenetetramine dissolved in alcohol, (2) a solution of the three components in alcohol is evaporated in vacuo.
