Abstract

403,069. Dust separators. STURTEVANT ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and STEVENS, M. F., 147, Queen Victoria Street, London. June 10, 1932, Nos. 1022 and 23062. [Class 8 (ii).] A dust separator is provided with corrugated plates coated with adhesive arranged in parallel in a frame so that the gases pass across the corrugations, the plates being spaced apart by studs or projec. tions fixed to or formed on one surface or both, at two or more places. Fig. 2 shows the projections consisting of bars c<2> fixed on indentations c<1> of the corrugations at the ends. The frames carrying the plates are held in position by spring pressure. The corrugations may be shaped to give a Venturi effect.
