Abstract

400,333. Self-driving machines. McNAMARA, J. F., Avondale, Finnart Road, Greenock. June 11, 1932, No. 16524. [Class 10.] A " self-driving " machine comprises a wheel rotatable in a vertical plane and carrying weights W, which are movable in a radial direction by screwed rods T carrying pinions or friction wheels P. On passing from one side to the other of the vertical diameter the pinions engage fixed sectors S, S<1> by which they are rotated, so causing the screwed rods T to move the weights on one side of the wheel to the outer, and those on the other side to the inner, position. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 11304/11, [Class 10, Animalpower engines &c.].
