[Class 38 (ii).] In a three-phase transformer adapted for tapchanging the regulating tappings c<1>-c<6> and d<1>-d<6>, Fig. 1, are provided in two phases b<1>, b<2> arranged in opendelta and displaced at an angle of 60‹ to each other. With this arrangement a symmetrical voltage distribution without phase-shift can be obtained. In a modification of this to allow of phaseshift, one set of tappings is on the lower end of the winding b<2> which is extended beyond the vertex and the other set of tappings is on an additional winding in phase with the winding b<1> but connected to the open end of winding b2. In a further modification, Fig. 3, the tappings c<1>-c<5> and d<1>-d<5> are taken from additional windings composed of sections alternately in phase with the windings b<1>, b<2>.
