Abstract
399,080. Fish tanks. WELLS, J. P., The Bungalow, Crichel Park, Wimborne, Dorset. Feb. 7,1933, No. 3653. [Class 48.] In a device for controlling the liquid-level in an aquarium, in which pipes A, A, B, B, bent as shown with the apex of the pipes B, B at the said level, function as a simple overflow until the open end of a pipe C becomes closed by the rise in level so that the device functions as a siphon, the open end of the pipe A is upturned as at D to prevent the device becoming drained in the event of a fall in level. The inlet end of the pipe C is provided with a strainer E which also covers the inlet of the pipe D. The device may be hung over the edge of the vessel.
