Abstract

398,358. Vaporized-oil burners. CUTTS, J. P., Jersey House, Peaslake, Surrey. Oct. 26, 1932, No. 29904. [Class 75 (i).] In a burner for oil cooking and heating stoves comprising a channelled base-piece A connected on the one hand to an oil supply W and on the other to a vaporizer heated by the burner, the base-piece being formed with drilled channels U, V having screwed plugs C, D, E for cleaning purposes, one channel V connecting the oil supply with the vaporizer and the other channel U connecting the vaporizer with the nipple T, the channel U to which the nipple is connected is extended past the nipple so as to prevent the accumulation of carbon waste immediately underneath the nipple. In the burner shown in the Figure, the vaporizing tube carries a mixing chamber Q with a baffleplate R. In another form, the vaporizing tube carries a flame spreader and a cap which together form a chamber enclosing the top of the tube.
