Abstract
398,115. Tractors. SOC. ANON. DES ETABLISSEMENTS E. BAUCHE, Le Chesnay, near Versailles, France. March 17, 1933, No. 8193. Convention date, Nov. 8, 1932. [Classes 79 (i) and 79 (iii).] Comprises a tractor in which the common axis of the internal-combustion engine 1 and the gear-box 2 is parallel to and between the wheel axles 15, 5, the driving wheels 6, 7 being driven through a differential gear 4 located outside the wheel 6 which is on the same side of the tractor as the gear-box. The engine and gear-box are placed as low down as possible to secure a low centre of gravity. The gear-box drives the differential gear through a chain 9 which is nearly horizontal and is not affected by the flexure of the suspension springs. A hand-wheel 12 controls the gear-box which may be of the epicyclic or other type.
