[Classes 106 (i) and 106 (iv).] The delivery of granular materials from one or more supply hoppers utilizing reciprocating conveyers or ram feeders is registered on a single counter operatively connected through a summation means to each of the feeders, not more than one of which is intended to be operated at a time. As shown in Fig. 1, the feeders are arranged in pairs b, b<1>, b<2>, b<3>, &c. and each pair has attached thereto a rope a, a<1>, &c. passing under guide pulleys d, d<1> and over vertically movable pulleys e, e<1>, &c. respectively. To the pulley e is attached a rope f which passes over guide pulleys l, l<1> and round a loose pulley h<1> to a fixed point m. The pulleys el, e<2> are connected by a rope f<1> passing over guide pulleys g, g<1>, j, j<1> around a loose pulley h. The pulleys h, h<1> are attached to another rope k forming a loop for a pulley n to which is attached a rope o secured to the weighted actuating arm t of the counter q. The arm t carries a pawl u co-operating with a ratchet wheel s on the counter shaft r. To ensure an accurate registration the arm t may carry two or more pawls such as u, u<1>, Fig. 4, co-operating with a corresponding number of ratchet wheels s, s<1> with their teeth differentially displaced. In a modification the rope o is attached to the mid-point of a rigid bar or rod, the ends of which are suspended by ropes attached to the mid-points of two equal rods themselves suspended at the ends by the ropes f, f<1>.
