Abstract

396,689. Containers for rolls of insulating-tape &c. WILLIAMS, H. R., Roby, Carr Wood Road, Bramhall, Stockport. Oct. 29, 1931, No. 29956. [Classes 18 and 94 (i).] Coils or rolls of electric insulating - tape &c. are packed in packing cases or other containers by means of one or more trays or partitions 6 of wood, cardboard, sheet metal, &c. and of triangular, round, oval, or other shape, each having a boss or projection 7 of wood, cardboard, &c. secured by gluing, nailing, &c. on which a coil or roll is positioned so that it is prevented from projecting beyond the edges of the tray or partition and coming into contact with the container walls. More than one coil may be held on one projection, and the tray or partition may have a number of projections each carrying a coil. The trays may be arranged one above the other, each tray resting on the coil carried by the tray below. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 178,268, [Class 94 (i) Packing, &c.], and 265,106, [Class 18, Boxes &c.].
