[Class 52 (iv).] In an air-cushion 1 having a number of transversely arranged chambers 2 projecting from its underside one or more of said chambers has a concave arch 2a so that when in use displaced air is accommodated without undue bulging by flattening of the arch. The cushion is secured on spaced bearers 8, 9 by a detachable cover.
