Abstract
395,594. Vehicle suspensions. ASTON, J., 75, Gillingham Road, Gillingham, Kent, Dec. 19, 1932, No. 35897. [Class 108 (ii).] Stabilizing means for preventing lateral canting in motor vehicles comprises a pair of levers L fulcrumed at F on each axle, the inner ends being interconnected by a pin P with slots S to give lost motion while the outer ends are connected to the sprung body or chassis by means of pins mounted on brackets, slots S also being provided. On the rear axle the fulcrum pins F are mounted on brackets on the axle to enable the levers L to clear the differential housing DH, while the brackets B for the front axle are mounted on the ends of the chassis longitudinals CL. Specification 2416/98, [Class 79, Locomotives &c.], is referred to.
