395,133. Cutting or mincing. EDMONDS, Ltd., G. and EDMONDS, H., Soho Hill Works, Hockley Brook, Birming- ham. May 19, 1932, No. 14226. [Class 5 (i).] A mincing-device of the kind comprising spaced cutting - dics mounted In a handled frame, is characterized by the provision of a shield 13 which extends over the upper edges of the discs 4. The shield is also used for applying pressure directly over the cutters. The cutters are mounted on a sleeve 5 and are secured in a frame 1 by a pin 6 which is inserted in holes in the frame and is secured by the resilient engagement of its hooked end 6a with the inside of the adjacent frame member. The front of the frame 1 carries a cross connecting strip 2, and the shield 13 which is pivoted to the sides of the frame 1 at 14 has a portion 16, 17 which snaps over the strip 2. The slotted bottom plate 8 is pivoted at 9 to the sides 1 and is secured in position by spring tongues engaging the insides of the frame 1. The device is easily cleaned by swinging the parts 8, 13 away from the cutters 4 which may be removed by withdrawing the pin 6.
