Abstract
395,039. Preventing corrosion. CARNEY, H. A., 70, Warwick Square, London. Jan. 18, 1932, No. 1409. [Class 123 (i).] A hot-water storage tank comprises a metal container with an internal coating of non- hygroscopic poor heat-conducting material such as an artificial resin, the material having substantially the same coefficient of expansion as the container. The casing may be provided with an external coating of the same or similar material. An anti-corrosive coating may be applied to the inside of the tank either before or after the application of the non-conducting coating. In an alternative construction, the container may be formed of the poor heatconducting material reinforced by metal of substantially the same coefficient of expansion. Specifications 258,908, [Class 123 (i), Liquidlevel regulating &c.], and 292,334, [Class 1 (i), Chemical processes &c.], are referred to.
