[Class 135.] A valve device for an infant's feeding bottle, of the kind in which the air-admission passage is determined beforehand by setting an adjustable device, is characterized by a rotary control member e of rigid material mounted on a seating d arranged upon or inside the entrance to the bottle in such a manner that by its rotation it progressively varies the passage for the admission of air, the rotary control member cooperating with an air passage h which is provided at its inner end with a non-return valve i. By the rotation of the member e an aperture e<1> therein may be brought to any desired position over a groove d<1>, of progressively increasing depth, in the seating disc d, and thus vary the amount of inlet air which passes through the passage h and the rubber-sheathed non-return valve i. The valve device is held in position by a spring wire c. In a modification, Fig. 8, the rotary plug k is provided with a number of grooves k<6>, of varying depth, connected by a channel a<3> with the passage h governed by the valve i. In still further modifications a ground glass plug is furnished with a groove of varying depth which coacts with an aperture through the ground neck or in the ground top end of the bottle. The passage h preferably opens on to a "flat" beneath the rubber sheath i which may wholly or partly cover the end of the members f<1>, m<1>. In a still further modification, the aperture e<1> is governable by a rotary cam-shaped plate which may be turned to mask, wholly or partly, the aperture.
