[Class 130.] Tobacco leaves or fibres are loosened by conveying them by means of one or more rotating cones h against the walls of one or more oppositely rotating funnels b, which may be provided with spiral guide ribs k. As shown, a number of cones h and funnels bare located axially in a housing a to and from which the tobacco is fed through funnels i, l. The shaft g of the cones h is driven by means of a pulley f, and the housing a carrying the funnels b is driven by means of a pulley c and guided by rollers d, e. The inclination of the surfaces of the cones and funnels relatively to their axis may be greater in the lower part of the device than in the upper part.
