390,929. Optical sound recording or reproducing apparatus. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.- (Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts-Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) Feb. 22, 1932, No. 5266. Convention date, Feb. 21, 1931. [Class 40 (ii).] In apparatus for the projection of or reproduction from records carried by a film movable along a guide 3, there is provided, in addition to the usual projection aperture 1, an auxiliary aperture 2 to enable the position of the film in the guide to be observed. The aperture may be illuminated from behind by a lamp 5 and may be provided with a ground glass plate 6. Preferably the distance between the apertures 1, 2 is a multiple of the distance between successive film records. The invention is applicable to apparatus for projecting kinematograph or talking pictures, or for film printing purposes &c.
