Abstract
390,247. Valve generating circuits. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin.. Nov. 17, 1931, No. 31885. Convention date, Nov. 18, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] Apparatus for medical treatment with electric oscillations of very high frequency (over 3 x 10<7>) comprises a generator arranged apart from the actual treatment apparatus and connected therewith by means of a transmission system of the " Lecher " wire type, an articulated arrangement for example a cardan joint being connected at one end of the transmission system. The generator comprises a threeelectrode valve 1, a condenser 3, the conductors to the condenser serving as an inductance, surrounded by a housing 4. The transmission system consists of two " Lecher " wires 8, 9 surrounded by a metal sheath 7 and coupled to the generator by means of a coil 10 which may be a single loop. The sheath 7 is secured to the housing 4 by a cardan joint 6. The coupling coil is so connected that it does not take part in the movements of the transmission system. The treatment circuit comprises an inductance 11 and condenser 12.
