Abstract
387,863. Powder-blowers. ROTHE, F., 7, Rosenstrasse, Dresden, Germany. March 29, 1932, No. 9008. Convention date, Feb. 2. [Class 18.] In devices for atomizing or squirting powders the top 2, Fig. 1, of the container has two ports 5, 6 communicating with a passage 4 in which is disposed a tube 3 with two openings 11, 12, connected with the air-pressure supply device and the discharge nozzle, and adapted by rotary or axial movement to open and close the openings 5, 6. In the case of a tube 3 having rotary movement, the extent of the movement is limited by a stop pin 13, working in a segmental groove 14, and the air-bulb 10 and the container 1 may be adapted to fit together and occupy its smallest space when the apertures are closed. With an axially sliding tube spring catches in one part engage notches in the other to hold them in open and closed position. The tube 3 is divided by the partition 22, Fig. 5, and an air supply pipe 23 dips into the material from the rear aperture 5.
