Abstract

386,440. Vehicle wheels. BROADBENT, J., 1, Boyle Street, Whingate Road, Armley, Leeds. Jan. 15, 1932, No. 1197. [Class 144 (i).] A vehicle wheel comprises helical springs 3 under tension which connect the hub with an inner frame or ring 2 supported from the wheel rim 5, the springs being contained within a casing formed by dished members 4, secured one on either side of the frame 2 and making a sliding fit with the outer faces of hub flanges 7. In a modification, the two sets of springs shown may be replaced by a single set of springs arranged in the plane of the wheel.
