Abstract
385,088. Knitting-machines. GROSSER, P., (trading as GROSSER, G. F.), Markersdorf, Chemnitztal, Germany. Nov. 28, 1931, No. 33000. Convention date, Dec. 31, 1930. [Class 74 (ii).] A circular machine of the superposed cylinder type having double headed needles is provided with radially oscillatable sickleshaped sinkers 1, the hooks of which are so formed that the distance between the lower and upper edges 3, 4 respectively is the same as that between the two cylinders. The edges 3, 4 serve to knock over the plain loops and pearl loops respectively and serve also to equalize both types of loops. The sinkers are operatively connected to sinker actuating jacks 9 located behind the needle jacks 10 and movable independently of the needles by means of additional jacks 15 and a cam 16. The hooks of the sinkers are guided in tricks 18 formed on the lower end of the upper cylinder.
