Abstract
384,870. Drying stockings &c. SCHUSTER, F., 39, Furtherstrasse, Chemnitz, Germany. March 16, 1932, No. 7874. Convention date, July 7, 1931. [Class 34 (ii).] In an apparatus for finishing textile goods, particularly stockings, located on forms which are passed between pressure rollers, the rollers are provided with a thick facing of soft solid rubber. As shown the forms 1 pass through a damping device 2 to the rubber-covered rollers 7, 8, after which they pass between calendering rollers 11, 12 to a hot-air drying chamber 13. The distance of the damping device from the rubber-covered rollers is adjustable and is always sufficient to give time for the damped fibres to swell before passing to the rollers.
