[Class 98 (ii).] A relief printing plate for printing colour line screens has the surfaces of the printing elements dished or channelled to prevent the lateral spreading of the ink. The channellings may be produced by applying a light sensitive coating to the plate b, for example of gum bichromate, exposing the plate under a negative having opaque lines f registering with and slightly narrower than the printing elements a, washing out the unexposed parts of the coating and etching lightly with acid.
