384,085. Wheel tyres. KENNEDY, D. S., Harewood Forest Works, Longparish, Hampshire. Dec. 4, 1931, No. 33660. [Class 144 (ii).] The side walls b of tread shoes a of the kind described in Specifications 354,865, [Group XXXII, and 361,673 are fitted with plates c which clamp the end links e<1> of the side connecting-chains e against rocking movement on the shoes. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the plates c are of channel section secured to the shoe wall b by bolts or rivets d on which the end links e<1> are threaded. In modifications, the channel housing for the link is formed wholly or in part in the wall b. Fig. 6 shows a modification in which the clamping-plate c is formed integral with the shoe wall. Specification 367,249 also is referred to.
