Oct. 2, 1931, No. 27436. Convention date, Oct. 27, 1930. Addition to 363,092. [Class 39 (i).] A luminous tube, which, according to the parent Specification, has short connecting parts which are arranged in front of the electrode chambers and are adapted to have a higher temperature than the main part of the tube to prevent separation of the constituents of the filling, is modified for use on direct current by forming it with one connecting part in front of one electrode chamber only. The filling may consist of a mixture of vapours, or of gases and vapours, or of gases such as helium, xenon, argon and hydrogen.
