[Class 35.] In a liquid meter, particularly such as described in Specifications 312,994, [Class 69 (i), Hydraulic apparatus &c.], and 340,911, [Group XXIX], the supply pump 11 is driven from an electric motor 22 and reduction gear 24 disposed in a casing 21 in the meter pedestal, the casing being ventilated by a fan 32.
