Abstract
381,024. Globe holders. DEUTSCH, F., 92, Hauptstrasse, Kreuzlingen, Thurgau, Switzerland. Dec. 18, 1931, No. 35076. [Class 75 (ii).] An electric light globe a has an inturned flange b fitted with a coupling ring d adapted to be connected with a ceiling support so that the latter is concealed within the globe. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the ring d has a threaded cylindrical opening e for screwing on to a threaded ceiling support n, and a flange c which rests on the flange b and is provided with centering guides m. The underside of the flange b is engaged by two segments f having guide slots corresponding to guides k on the ring d, the flange c and the segments f being secured together by means of screws h. The latter are received in lugs l on the ring d, and rubber washers j are placed between the flange b and the flange c and segments f. In the form shown in Figs. 4 and 6, the coupling ring has keyhole slots o to form bayonet joint connections with ceiling pins p. When moved in the direction of the arrow into the locking position, spring plates s on the pins p slide below inclined portions t on the edges of the straight parts of the slots o, engage beneath catches u, and are held in position by springs r.
