380,969. Telephone &c. cables. WILLIAMS, W. P., 24, Southampton Buildings, London.- (Hackethal- Draht-Und- Kabel-Werke Akt.-Ges. ; Staderlandstrasse, Hanover, Germany.) Oct. 22, 1931, No. 29378. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 23, 1931.] Drawings to Specification. [Class 36.] To prevent cross-talk between adjacent quads of a communication cable having D-M quads, the stranding pitches of the two pairs in each quad are interchanged at regular intervals, and adjacent quads are formed with different pitches which are so chosen that all of the quads have the same capacity to earth. The interchanges of pitch between the pairs preferably takes place several times in a manufacturing length of quad.
