[Class 52 (iii).] Four leaves 32 .. 35 hinged at 37 upon two pivotal axes can be so folded as to be superposed on the leaf 34. This bottom leaf has straps holding it to the cross arm 36 of a hinged bow, and after piling the leaves the pile can be slid laterally along the crossarm to bring the pile into alignment with the frame 31, when by swinging over the bow the pile will lie over the frame. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also constructions of tables of which that shown in Fig. 3 (Cancelled) is an example, having a divisible top and folding leaves 6, 7 normally housed under the sliding sections 1, 2 of the top, but hinged to rockable bows 8, 12 in such a way as to be capable of endwise sliding to take up a partially superposed position under the closed table top or to lie centrally when one extension leaf only is in use between the sections 1, 2. The bows 8, 12 on rocking upwards as shown, enable the lower folded half of the extension leaves to rise to table level even though the folded leaves are partially superposed. In a modification the hinges 13 are slidable in guides at right-angles to the bars 8, 12, for the same purpose and in a further modification the bars are not rockable but sufficient sliding space is provided to enable the various leaves to be opened out without interference by other unfolded leaves. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
