Abstract

376,808. Hydraulic shock-absorbers. VAGO, P. VON, 51, Budafoki-ut, Budapest, and UHER ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., Glarus, Switzerland. April 9, 1931, No. 10471. [Class 108 (iii).] A pump 1, which supplies liquid for operating the brakes of a motor vehicle, is mounted on the chassis 20, and is operated by a flexible connection 19 from the axle 21. The connection 19 is attached by a turn-buckle 18 to an arm 16 mounted on a spindle 13, an arm 14 on which is connected by a link 11 to the bucket 2 of the pump. The pump draws through the valve 4 and delivers through a valve 5, pipe 23, and cushioning chamber 25 to a servomotor 26. The discharge from the servomotor and the overflow through a safety-valve 28 are returned to the pump by a pipe 22.
