Abstract
376,795. Colour photography. MANNES, L. D., 111, East 81st Street, and GODOWSKY, L., 8, West 76th Street, both in New York, U.S.A. Jan. 16, 1931, No. 1553. Convention date, March 19, 1930. [Class 98 (ii).] In a process of colour photography, two or more superposed silver-halide emulsion layers are used which are sensitized for different colours, and each containing a colour-former capable of forming a correspondingly coloured compound by reaction with the same developer in the presence of the reduced silver. For a twocolour process a red sensitive emulsion containing phenol or trichlornaphthol is overcoated with a green sensitive emulsion containing a mixture of paranitrobenzylcyanide and ethyl acetoacetate, the developer used being diethylparaphenylenediamine. Other specific examples of colour-formers and developers are given and reference is made to Specification 376,794. The coloured images produced may be directly printed or reproduced on similar multi-layer emulsion plates, films or papers. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) includes other processes which form the subject-matter of Specification 376,794. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
