Abstract
375,976. Floorwaxing devices. BRAUN, H. L., 20, Eastbourne Crescent, Mimico, Ontario, Canada. June 8, 1931, No. 16702. Convention date, June 7, 1930. [Class 19.] In a floor-waxing device a base 1, Figs. 1 and 3, which is hollow to contain wax, is provided with a pad 3 with a central opening through which the wax is forced by screw and plunger means actuated through the movement of the handle 13 as the device is moved to and fro over the floor. The screw 5 is provided with a ratchet disc 7 adapted to be engaged by a pawl 14 carried by a handle 13. The pawl extends through a slot in the handle and may be withdrawn from the slot and swung laterally when it is desired to discontinue supplying wax to the floor. In a modification shown in Fig. 4, the arms 13 of the handle are supported on pins 18 which have limited movement in elongated slots 19 formed in the base 1. One of the pins supports the pawl 20 pivoted at 21.
