Abstract

A lotion for relieving pain is prepared by dissolving saltpetre in acetic acid, adding paraffinum liquidum or kerosene and oil of turpentine and then gradually adding to this mixture with constant agitation a solution of croton oil in methylated spirits. The lotion is allowed to stand for about one month before use. Specification 27601/12, [Class 81 (i), Disinfecting &c.], is referred to.
