Abstract
374,307. Boots &c. WISSAERT, M., 240B, Chaussee de Ninove, Brussels. July 10, 1931, No. 19887. Convention date, July 18, 1930. [Class 17 (ii).] A shoe mould for producing one-piece rubber shoes consists of a core, on which an unvulcanized rubber sheet forming the upper and heel elements is placed, a plate carrying the sole on which the covered core is placed, a, cover member completely surrounding the core except for a recess at the heel, and a semicircular removable member arranged so as to engage with the sole plate and in the recess of the cover. Preferably, the cover member is so shaped as to allow a plurality of moulds being superposed during pressing. As shown, (Figs. 2, 4, 5, and 6), the lower part 1 of a mould has a recess 2 for the sole rubber. Recesses 13 in the mould provide for the formation. of straps in the shoe upper. The cover 9 is cut away at 16 forming a recess 17 in which fits the semicircular member 18. The core 21 fits the cover so that there is a space of about 2 mm. between them, in which space the rubber upper lies.
